Most of Mr. Desautels’ expertise is in project management roles, preparing master plans, preliminary design studies and detailed engineering for implementing, installing and commissioning low-, medium- and high-voltage switchgear. He has an accurate and enlightened vision of market needs, having participated in numerous projects to draft operating guidelines and methods, and develop training for private producers and the industrial sector.
Mr. Desautels’ involvement with the IGEE over the past ten years, as well as his experience as a department manager—which includes onboarding several graduates at BBA—are undeniable assets. This will allow him to make a valuable contribution to the IGEE’s initiatives, which are to offer training and collaborative knowledge development to future electrical engineering graduates . These structuring solutions will help deal with the labour shortage issue in this high-demand field.
