Calgary and Toronto office appointments

  • News

Despite the numerous challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, BBA continues to attract key players and leverage its growth. As a result, the firm has welcomed new members in recent weeks and entrusted new mandates to experienced leaders.

  1. New office directors for Calgary and Toronto

In November, Trevor Buckley joined the BBA team as the Calgary Office Director. This expert holds extensive experience in the oil and gas industry along with in-depth knowledge of the Alberta market. For over 20 years, he has been working in consulting and midstream operations, including for Plains Midstream Canada and Secure Energy.

The Calgary office has been managed by Geoff Hall since it opened in 2013. Geoff made a significant contribution to BBA’s outreach in Western Canada but will now focus on business development and sales. He will continue playing a leading role in expanding the firm’s Alberta operations.

On January 11, BBA welcomed Petar Calic as Toronto Office Director. His experience in the energy sector includes management of operational groups as well as consulting with the U.S. Department of Energy, the Canadian Electricity Association, the Electric Power Research Institute and the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE).

After two years as director of the Toronto office, Louis-Philippe Simoneau has returned to Timmins where he continues to contribute to BBA’s success as an automation engineer and in other operational support roles. Thanks to Louis-Philippe’s contribution, the Toronto and Sudbury offices have been able to substantially expand their client portfolios and add high-calibre experts to their teams.

Navin Gangadin joins the Executive Committee

Navin Gangadin has been appointed Executive Director, Central Canada Operations. Having joined BBA in 2019, Navin is a mechanical engineer by trade with over 20 years of experience in mining and metals projects and business operations. His involvement in all aspects of project development, from technical design, or management of small studies, to major detailed engineering projects, gives him perspective on client and business needs.

Lou Bruno appointed Executive Director, Strategic Development

Navin Gangadin will be taking over for Lou Bruno, who was appointed the new Executive Director, Strategic Development. As such, Lou Bruno will be leading BBA operations in mergers and acquisitions, in addition to conducting research and analyzing business sectors and new markets to stimulate innovation and foster BBA’s growth.
