In the article about Maurice Brisson, we discover that he grew up in a family of entrepreneurs—his parents owned a bakery—which quickly instilled in him the importance of properly meeting client needs. We learn about his love of science, his early days as a high-voltage system researcher at Institut de recherche d’Hydro-Québec and, when working at Shawinigan Engineering, having met those who would one day co-found BBA with him in 1980. His philanthropic activities are also discussed, including creating the Maurice Brisson Scholarship Fund and the Maurice Brisson Scholarship for Excellence at Polytechnique Montréal, his alma mater, as well as recognitions he has received, like the Order of Canada, in 2022, and the Mentor of the Year Award in Consulting Engineering from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Québec, in 2016.
