BBA’s Jeffrey Cassoff appointed chair of the Montréal branch of the CIM

  1. BBA is proud to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Cassoff, Team Leader for BBA’s Mining Engineering team in our Montréal office, as chair of the Montréal branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).

    As chair of the Montréal branch of the CIM, Mr. Cassoff will oversee the branch’s activities, in particular, organizing local events, awarding scholarships, coordinating sponsorship programs and, most importantly, promoting the branch’s mission which is:

    “to be a premier society for all professionals in the local mining community, to advance the mining and minerals community through information exchange and professional networking, to promote and support education and scholarly activities in mining and geology, and to embrace the goals of the CIM”.

    Mr. Cassoff is a mining engineer who holds over 20 years of industry experience, including nearly four years with the BBA team. His experience includes mineral reserves estimation, mine planning and equipment fleet selection. Mr. Cassoff graduated from McGill University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Montréal branch of the CIM since 2016 and is very active in the branch’s activities and in the local mining community.
