Health and safety

Ensuring the day-to-day health and safety of employees, clients and stakeholders is a principle thatguides and directs our daily choices and decisions. We all share this responsibility at BBA, and we expectour employees to be actively involved in the risk prevention approach.


Unsafe behaviour by our employees, consultants, subcontractors or suppliers will not be tolerated at anytime. We adopt the same rigour in health and safety with clients by behaving as members of their ownteam.

Objectives 

  • Achieve health and safety excellence.
  • Make health and safety a way of thinking, behaving and living for all employees.
  • To provide a safe and healthy work environment.

Commitment

To do this, we are committed to complying with health and safety laws, regulations and standards. Weprovide direction and take measures necessary to protect the health and safety and ensure the physicalwell-being of our employees. 

 

In particular, we pledge to: 

  • Regularly assess our process to adjust it, where necessary.
  • Implement new processes, where required.
  • Rigorously apply our 10 BBA Golden Rules, the BBA Health and Safety Manual and client rules.
  • Offer our employees the means to protect themselves and to eliminate any health and safety hazards at the source.
  • Raise employee awareness through regular communications and offer the training required to carry out their tasks safely.
  • Occasionally audit our projects and offices.
  • Consult our experts, clients and suppliers to optimize our methods.

General roles and responsibilities

The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the orientations and endorsing this Health and SafetyPolicy. 

 

The President of BBA is responsible for ensuring appropriate business processes are implemented tomake sure employees adhere to this policy. 

 

The Health, Safety and Environment Department is responsible for ensuring this policy and directives putin place for all BBA legal entities are implemented.

 

Project Managers and managers have a duty and are authorized to ensure their employees apply thispolicy.

 

Employees are responsible for applying this policy, business processes and procedures and forcomplying with safety laws, regulations and rules as well as for taking the preventive and correctivemeasures necessary to carry out their work safely.

Our consultants, subcontractors and suppliers must adhere to these same commitments as part of theircontracts.
