PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Initially, BBA realized a base case study which consists of an inspection of the QCM concentrator equipment at Mont-Wright as well as the cost estimate for the replacement of equipment at the end of its service life without considering any process modification. BBA was then mandated to conduct a conceptual study to evaluate integration and cost for two new processes.

  • Spiral degradation monitoring by inspection and picture analysis
  • Piping, launders, distributors, reservoirs and other equipment inspection
  • Prototype spiral bank development that could be introduced in the concentrator without any process modification
  • Conceptual study to evaluate integration and cost for two new processes introducing new spirals and/or hindered settling classifiers
  • Project cost estimate including equipment and installation
