PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

Mecan-Hydro/Hydro-Innovation requested BBA to realize the design of the Ashlu Creek Sluiceway gate. The activities consisted of the following: 

  • Design of the embedded parts: anchor bolts, sill beam and lateral gate guides
  • Design of the 6.5 m x 6.5 m sluiceway gate: gate structure, main wheels, lifting lugs, side bumpers and rollers
  • Design of a 2 m x 2 m flap gate integrated in the main gate
  • Design of steel support structures for the lifting apparatus
  • Design of dogging mechanisms
  • 3D drawings with SolidWorks
