Steeve Fiset, Eng.
President and CEO
This inspiring leader has been at the helm of the company since 2004, initially as President and Chief Operating Officer and, since 2006, as President and Chief Executive Officer. BBA has experienced phenomenal growth since his appointment. The firm has also expanded its operational reach from coast to coast; it has welcomed professionals with extensive experience and consolidated its engineering expertise. Steeve Fiset’s profile is an eloquent reflection of BBA’s philosophy: a focus on fostering internal resources and on continuous improvement. Mr. Fiset chose to begin his career at BBA after graduating from Université Laval with a degree in electrical engineering. In the years that followed, he carried out numerous mandates around the world, resulting in an international expertise that continues to shape BBA’s development. Mr. Fiset also attended Harvard Business School, where he completed the Leading Professional Service Firms program.
Éric Gemme, CA, CPA, CBV
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of Corporate Services
Éric Gemme, a seasoned financial professional and leader in change management, joined BBA in 2012. He is a strategic and pragmatic manager with extensive experience working as a financial executive within complex organizations. Mr. Gemme is responsible for supporting the growth of the management team, supervising the company’s overall and financial performance and acting as a custodian of the guiding principles of risk management. He also heads the firm’s corporate departments. Mr. Gemme holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and completed the executive certificate in Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management at the MIT – Sloan School of Management as well as the Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives at Harvard Law School. Mr. Gemme is also a BBA shareholder.
Frédéric Didier, Eng.
Vice-President, Engineering
A graduate in electrical engineering from Laval University, Frédéric Didier joined BBA at the start of his career and has been a shareholder since 2001. The expertise he has acquired through the numerous projects he has managed has given him the required tools to play a front-line role in complex assignments. As Vice-president of Engineering, he combines his know-how and his overall vision of the company's needs with rigour and a keen entrepreneurial spirit.
Sylvain Bélanger, Eng.
Vice-President, Projects
Sylvain Bélanger, a pragmatic entrepreneur and executive, joined BBA in 2012 as Vice-President, Projects, and a shareholder in the firm. He has extensive experience in strategic plant maintenance, operations and management and is a key player in industrial construction management. He brings seasoned project management expertise to BBA for a range of project types, including EPCM, technical assistance, brownfield projects (involving existing facilities) and greenfield projects (new sites). He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
André Allaire, Ph. D., Eng.
Vice-President, Mining and Metals Market
A graduate of McGill University where he received his doctorate in metallurgical engineering, Mr. Allaire has been working in consulting engineering for 20 years. He has acquired considerable expertise in several areas of ferrous and non-ferrous metals extraction both in Canada and abroad. Mr. Allaire has been contributing to BBA's growth since 2004, becoming a shareholder the same year. He has since been sharing his highly specialized expertise with the members of his team, and is Director of Mining and Metals.
John Marrone, Eng. MBA
Vice-President, Energy Market
Mr. John Marrone has a degree in metallurgical engineering and an MBA, both from McGill University. He is a seasoned professional with close to 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors where he has held executive positions in the fields of natural resources and metallurgy. As Vice President, Markets – Energy, Mr. Marrone’s experience enhances BBA’s leadership in delivering engineering solutions and innovation in clean energy production and energy efficiency for the natural resources industries.
Louise Raspa, CA
Vice-President, Finance and Administration
A member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec, Louise Raspa joined BBA in 2000. Ms. Raspa's mission is to ensure the organization's sound management and the application of good governance principles. A shareholder since 2008, Ms. Raspa is a dedicated and extremely well-organized collaborator. Prior to BBA, she managed the administrative and financial services of mining and high-tech companies where she contributed to their growth and financial success.
Martin Mathe, CHRP
Director, Human Resources
An Industrial Relations graduate from Université de Montréal and member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, Martin Mathe holds more than 15 years of experience in the field of human resources management. He acquired this experience in the mining, construction, aerospace and professional services sectors. Mr. Mathe’s mandate is to manage all Human Resources activities at BBA as well as the implementation of effective Canada-wide strategies to attract and engage talent.
